As we work our way through the 1.6W Diode Laser Engraver build and setup, one thing that is evident from the start is the lack of any sort of official manual or instructions. These cheap Chinese laser systems can be found from a variety of online stores, most all of which are the same or a variation on the same system and components, but none come with any real documentation. The customer is on their own to figure it out for the most part.
With that said there are a number of decent online videos and write-ups that others have put together to address this shortcoming. Some are well done, others can be an ok reference but still leave some confusion.
To that end here is our selection of what we found to be the most helpful in assembling and setting up a diode laser engraver. It should be noted that while different wattage & frame size systems are mentioned across the various links, they are all basically the same with only minor variations. Be sure to check which ones apply best to your particular kit as there can be subtitle differences in how they go together.
